Ailene Margaret Maynor, born on January 2, 1930, in Cherokee County, passed away peacefully in Spartanburg on September 27, 2025, to be with her Lord, she was 95. Ailene was the daughter of the late Curtis Romeo Cash and Sally Walker.
Ailene dedicated herself to her family as a loving homemaker in her own home, where her warmth and care resonated with all who had the privilege of being around her. Ailene's spirit was defined by her deep love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was actively involved in her church community for many years, attending First Baptist Cowpens until she was unable to do so.
In addition to her devotion to her family and faith, Ailene had numerous hobbies that brought her joy. A talented cook, she enjoyed preparing meals for her family and was also known for her skills as a seamstress and her needlepoint. Ailene had a passion for gardening and spent many happy hours working in her yard, creating a beautiful space that reflected her.
Ailene is survived by her daughter, Teresa Jacobs (John); granddaughters, Crystal Hart (Joshua) and Nikki Jolley (Kameron); and her great-grandchildren, Gracie Ann Davis, Kara Grant (Harrison), Jackson Billy Davis, Mollie Jane Davis, and Landry Carson Jolley.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Audrey Stacy Maynor; her son, Michael S. Maynor; and her siblings, Ruby Bridges, Helen Brown, Anna Lou Mullinax, Robert Cash, and Ralph Cash.
A cryptside service to honor Ailene's life, will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 1, 2025, in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery St., Cowpens, SC, 29330. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Nathan Dye and assisted by Teddy Lipscomb.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice House, 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
Ailene Margaret Maynor leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family that will be treasured by all who knew her.
