Tommie Lou James Hammett Sellars, 91, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at Spartanburg Medical Center-Mary Black Campus. Born June 5, 1928, in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Elsie Epps James and widow of Daniel Hammett and John Calvin Sellars. Mrs. Sellars loved cooking, sewing and line dancing. She was always active in the work of the church and a volunteer at Cowpens Senior Center. Survivors include her children, William Berry and Mary Lou Paschal, both of Spartanburg, SC, Danielle Hammett of Belmont, NC, and Marla Stepp (Tony) of Hendersonville, NC; 12 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by a daughter, Celia Osteen; son, Daryl Hammett; and brother, Jimmy James. A private graveside service will be held with the family. A public memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
