"Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." - 2 Timothy 4:8 Our beloved son, brother, cousin and dear friend, Taylor Edwin Hines, 31, of Spartanburg, SC, received his heavenly reward on Thursday, November 15, 2018. Born November 13, 1987 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Dale Edwin and Glynda Taylor Hines. Taylor was training for management for Willy Taco, and he previously was a former coach and general manager with Marcos Pizza. A proud 2006 graduate of Dorman High School and a 2010 graduate of Clemson University with a BS degree in Political Science, Taylor was a dedicated member of the Cheerleading Team. Taylor was a member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg. He had a huge passion for teaching young people how to tumble. Taylor enjoyed a tremendous love for his family, life, people, music...and all things Clemson! Survivors include his parents, Dale and Glynda Hines of the home; his brother, Brandon R. Hines of Spartanburg, SC; his very special sister/cousin, Amber W. Weiss and her daughter, Callie of Spartanburg, SC; his loving maternal grandmother, Martha H. Taylor of Spartanburg, SC; and longtime close family, Angie Newlin and Leslie Sellars; along with many other loving family member and friends. Taylor was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, James Edward and Barbara Janette Stacey Hines; and his maternal grandfather, Robert Anthony Taylor. Visitation will be at 5:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, November 19, 2018 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at First Baptist Church Spartanburg, 250 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306, conducted by The Rev. Seth Buckley, The Rev. Reid Bowyer, and The Rev. Asheton Amerson. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, 3119 Highway 56, Pauline, SC 29374. Memorials may be made to Boys and Girls Clubs of the Upstate, 901 S. Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302 or to Adult Learning Center, 145 N Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306 or online at www.adult-learning.org The family will be at the home of Dale and Glynda Hines.
