Suzanne Johnsen

Suzanne Rolfes Johnsen, 89, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born August 4, 1929, in Springfield, OH, she was the daughter of the late Robert Bauer Rolfes and Mary Frances Young Rolfes and widow of Theodore Norman Johnsen. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Miami of Ohio and retired as Curriculum Director at the Glen Rock Community School in New Jersey. Survivors include her sons, Mark Johnsen (Susan) of Spartanburg, SC and Charlie Johnsen of Closter, NJ; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Arrowsmith (Ryan) and Jennifer Johnsen; and a great-granddaughter, Penelope. Services will be held in New Jersey at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charles Lea Center Foundation, 195 Burdette Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
