Reda Wood

Reda Faye Cooley Wood, 84, of Roebuck, SC died Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness of Spartanburg. Born November 8, 1936 in Belton, SC, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Inez Bannister Cooley and wife of the late James Wood. Mrs. Wood retired from S&S Manufacturing and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with her sisters redecorating her home and loved her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Melonie McMahan of Roebuck, SC; sons, Scott Wood (Tina) of Chesnee, SC and Mark Wood (Angie) of Cowpens, SC; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Harling of Spartanburg, SC and brother, Thomas Cooley (Debbie) of Pauline, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by daughters, Carol Atkinson and Denise Williams; sons, Billy Lloyd and Jerry Lloyd, and granddaughter, Angie Lawson. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, January 22, 2021 in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Joe Burnett. Visitation will follow at graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gibbs Cancer Center, SRHS Foundation, 101 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
