Peggy Jean Lee Coggins, 83, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, January 6, 2019, at her home. Born September 22, 1935, in Clifton, SC, she was the daughter of the late Leasel and Eunice McIntire Lee and widow of Cecil Raymond Coggins. Mrs. Coggins was a member of Converse Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She loved her church, her children, grandchildren, and attended Winthrop College. Surviving are her children, Glenn R. Coggins (Laura) of Sunset, SC and Cindy Coggins Cormier (Glen) of Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Charlotte C. Caroland (Brian), Greg Coggins, Danielle Cormier, and Brandon Cormier. Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 PM Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Converse Baptist Church, 325 Main St., Converse, SC 29329 with funeral services following at 3:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Mike Davis and The Rev. Jim Powell. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorials may be made to Converse Baptist Church, PO Box 159, Converse, SC 29329; or Interim Hospice, 16 Hyland Road, Greenville, SC 29615. The family is at the home.
