Myrtle Easler

Myrtle Dean Ivey Easler, 96, of Hendersonville, NC and formerly of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, September 9, 2019, at Blue Ridge Health & Rehabilitation. Born May 17, 1923, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Luther Lewis Ivey and Tura Agnes Johnson Ivey. A graduate of Spartanburg High School, Myrtle was a former member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and retired from the textile industry. Survivors include her brother, Joe B. Ivey (Miriam) of Gaffney, SC; sister, Trennie Mangan of Arizona; sister-in-law, Geraldine Ivey of Spartanburg, SC; and many nieces and nephews, including Amanda Ivey, Sonja Melton, Michael Ivey, Kelly Ivey Grimsley, Allen Ivey, Eric Gowan, Jerome Williams, Shanna Wall, Sheri Wright, and Pamela Ivey. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Euial Jack Ivey, Osborne Franklin "Frank" Ivey, and Robert Louis Ivey. Family members will conduct a private graveside service on Thursday, September 12, 2019, in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, 635 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
