Marion Tutterow

Marion Frank Tutterow, 82, of Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, January 30, 2021 at his home. Born February 18, 1938 in Lenoir City, TN he was the son of the late Nellie Mae Hunt and Marion Smith Tutterow. A U.S. Navy Veteran, Mr. Tutterow was retired from Southern Railroad where he worked from 1960-1989. He was special to many people but his favorite title was "PaPa" and "Pops". If he wasn't spoiling Janet or his grandchildren, he was on his bike encouraging others to ride "one more mile" with him. He was the love of Janet's life and she will miss him dearly. He was an avid cyclist with the Freewheelers of Spartanburg and of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Janet Loring Anthony Tutterow; daughter, Brenda T. Young (Richard) of Spartanburg, SC; son, Ricky D. Tutterow (Cheri) of Inman, SC; grandchildren, Lee Hardy, Jacob Tutterow, Jeffrey Tutterow, and Madison Tutterow; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Alma T. Griffin of Moore, SC, and brothers, Claude Tutterow and Joe Tutterrow both of Boiling Springs, SC. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey F. Tutterow; grandson, Jehremy R. Young, and brother, Glenn Tutterrow. Graveside services will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, 125 Fort Prince Road, Wellford, SC 29385 conducted by Mr. Keith Tutterow. Visitation will be at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
