Marcell Messer

Hazel Marcell Martin Messer, 69, of Moore, SC, died Thursday, March 7, 2019, at her home. Born June 12, 1949, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late George Roy Martin and Hazel Fay Kimbrell Taylor. She was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are her husband, James K. Messer; a son, James K. Messer Jr. of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Kaelob Sizemore of the home, Hayes Abernathy of Greenville, SC, and Blake Martin of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Candace M. Owens of Spartanburg, SC and Sonya M. Dill of Jefferson, GA; and brother, Chip Ballard of Boiling Springs, SC. She was predeceased by a sister, Shierry Martin; and niece, Leslie Martin Hord.
