Lucille Queen Chavis, 86, of Chesnee, SC, died Thursday, November 22, 2018, at Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness Center-Spartanburg. Born May 5, 1932, in Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Paul Blake Queen and Pearl Bernice Taylor Queen and widow of George Washington Chavis. She attended Bethesda Baptist Church and Drayton Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Ricky Harris of Columbus, NC, Christopher Harris of Pauline, SC, LouEllen Owings of Fairforest, SC, and Linda Harmon of Pacolet, SC; 16 grandchildren; and a number of great and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sons and daughter, Jerry Wayne Harris, William "Billy" Harris, Bobby Eugene Harris, and Teresa Bryant; sister, Lula Mae Horton; and brothers, Jerry Queen and Pete Queen. Visitation will be 3:00-3:45 PM Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with funeral services for Mrs. Chavis and her daughter, Teresa Bryant, following at 4:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Tommy Bryant.
