Kitty Silverman

Kitty Temple Silverman, 86, of Spartanburg, SC died Friday, December 18, 2020, at Summit Hills. Born June 27, 1934 in Nashville, TN she was the daughter of the late William Thadeus and Frances Leighton Dixon Temple and wife of the late Charles Richard Silverman Sr. Mrs. Silverman was a graduate of West End High School, Washington Belmont College, Vanderbilt School of Nursing in Nashville, TN and received her Master's Degree in Public Health at the University of South Carolina. She was a Public Health Nurse at Spartanburg Health Department and a Nurse Practitioner. Mrs. Silverman was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Marie Silverman of Boiling Springs, SC, and special friends, Jenny and John Hazeres and their children, Alec, Adam and Austin of Belleview, KY and Denise Taylor of Woodruff, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Charles Richard Silverman Jr. Due to Covid 19, the family will not be present, however, you may pay your respect at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307 on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM for those friends that wish to pay their respects. Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Mount Olivet Funeral Home, with a graveside service following at 11:00 AM in Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37210. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Red Cross, 101 N. Pine Street, Suite 3E, Spartanburg, SC 29302 or Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
