Joel Bishop

Joel Keith Bishop, 59, of Spartanburg, SC, recently passed into eternal rest. Born in Spartanburg on February 8, 1959, he was the son of the late Warren Boyce and Joyce Jett Bishop. He is survived by his wife, Nydia Bishop; children, Stephanie McDonald (Tamlin), Derrik Bishop (Lauren), Jaclyn Escudero (Michael March), Steven Escudero, Mark Escudero; grandchildren, Katelyn Sierra Escudero, Marissa Jewel Escudero, Christian Adam Escudero, Silas Woodward McDonald, Naomi Love McDonald, Sawyer Boone McDonald and brothers, Chris Bishop (Debbie) and Gregg Bishop. Mr. Bishop was a machine operator at Trellerborg for 23 years and was a member of Bethel Assembly of God. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, gardening, hunting, and country music. The family will conduct a celebration of his life at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Bethel Assembly of God, 561 Upper Valley Falls Rd., Boiling Springs, SC, 29316, officiated by Pastors Dan and Irene Rosa.
