Jocelyn "Jo" Epting Harrison, 86, widow of Robert Wilson Harrison formerly of Roebuck, SC and recently a resident of RoseCrest in Inman, SC died on Thursday, December 21, 2017, after a recent illness. Born November 24, 1931, in the Chappells area of Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Helen Harmon Epting. A graduate of the Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing, she received her public health certification from the University of North Carolina. She practiced in San Diego California from 1952-1955, returning to South Carolina in 1955. She spent the majority of her career with the Spartanburg County Public Health Department. Survivors include one daughter, Susan (William Marshall) of Newberry, SC; two sons, Bobby Harrison (Melody) of Pauline, SC; and Phillip Harrison (Cathy) of Lancaster, SC; one brother, Jake Epting (Sylvia) of Newberry, SC; five grandchildren, Robert, Holly, Jennifer, Rebecca, and Adam; and four great-grandchildren, Karris, Liam, Keller and Dex. She is also survived by several special nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 11:00-11:45 AM Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307 with a memorial service following at 12:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tim Williams.
