Jimmy Linder

Jimmy Howard Linder, 74, of Gaffney, SC died Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born March 9, 1946 in Cowpens, SC, he was the son of the late Mary Pauline Sherbert and James Lloyd Linder Sr. Mr. Linder was a retired minister and electrician with more than 40 years of employment. He was the pastor of the Pentecostal Church of the Living God. He loved his family and joking with everyone. Gardening, growing tomatoes, cucumbers, and watermelons were things he also loved. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lucille Raines Linder; daughter, Katherine Dianne Malloux (Claude); son, Steven Howard Linder; grandchildren, Nicholas Bridgeman (Kristin), Anna Bridgeman, Ethan Linder (Kaitlyn), Dylan Bridgeman (Autumn), Mahkayla Linder, Maddox Linder and Haley Ogle; great-grandchildren, Kimber Bridgeman, Colton Bridgeman, Kelton Linder, and Kearse Linder, and sisters, Doris Jones and Thelma Sanders. He was predeceased by three sisters and five brothers. Visitation will be held 12:30-1:30 PM Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, with funeral services following at 2:00 PM in the Chapel conducted by The Rev. Nicholas Bridgeman, The Rev. Lawrence Cantrell, and The Rev. Roger Roof. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
