Jimmie Cannon

On Thursday, January 28, 2021, Jimmie Ophelia Gault Cannon, 95, of Spartanburg, SC died peacefully at her home. She was born in Jonesville, SC on December 26, 1925. She was the daughter of Beulah Vaughn and Albert Hope Gault, and the wife of the late Arthur Lester Cannon. She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Abrams of Inman SC; sons, Bill Cannon (Cecilia) and Bruce Cannon, both from Spartanburg, and Chip Cannon (Loretta) of Fate, TX; grandchildren, Jamie Cannon (Katie) of Midland, NC, Kathleen Kopp (Jason) of Bethesda, MD, Will Cannon (Ali) of Nashville, Stephanie Cannon and Christopher Cannon, both of Dallas, TX, Alan Abrams of Summerfield, NC, Robert Abrams of Spartanburg, and Amy Ballentine of Columbus, NC, and 10 great-grandchildren, (Willa, Charlie, Aaron Cannon, and Clara Kopp, Brandon, Emily, and Jonathon Bell, Benjamin, Samuel, Patrick, and Allison Abrams) and two great great-grandchildren, Ophelia and Henson Bell. A Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Inman United Methodist Church, 27 Bishop Street, Inman, SC 29349, with visitation following.
