Frannie passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013, at Magnolia Manor of Inman. Born November 23, 1952, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the only child of the late Tom and Charlotte Hannon. Frannie graduated from the College of Charleston in 1976, with a Bachelor of Arts and from Converse College in 1977, with a Masters of Education. She taught in Greer, SC, Charleston, SC, and the Virgin Islands. She was an avid horseman and championed many ribbons in competitions. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, she spent her last ten years as a resident of Magnolia Manor of Inman. Frannie was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Much appreciation and thanks to the staff of Unit 4 who cared for Frannie and became her family. The Parish Nurses and the Health Ministry Caregivers were her constant visitors and supporters. A heart warm thanks to Pat Rubel for her many years of care and devotion for Charlotte and Frannie. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307 conducted by the Rev. Mike Shackelford. Visitation will follow at the graveside. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 415 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
