Floyd Wendell Crocker, 79, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 19, 1938, in Glendale, SC, he was the son of the late Louie Eston and Marcella Ruth Willis Crocker. A United States Air Force Veteran, Mr. Crocker was a retired letter carrier with the US Postal Service in Kansas City, MO with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Carlisle Wesleyan Church, the Men's Club, National Association of Letter Carriers, and American Legion Post #200. Mr. Crocker enjoyed fishing, was an organic gardener before it was cool and was South Carolina's biggest fan of the Cleveland Indians. Survivors include his wife Linda Horton Crocker; daughter, Nina J. Garcia (Antonio, Jr.) of Fayetteville, NC; step-son, Allen Burnett (Sheila) of Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Daniel Garcia (Heather) and Peter Garcia, all of Fayetteville, NC, Erica Moyer (Gene) and Cassandra Fields (Jason) all of Boiling Springs, SC, Chelsea Gooden (Jeremy) and Collin Burnett all of Charlotte, NC and Tyler Burnett of London, OH; nine great-grandchildren, Xavier, Haley, Madison, Charlie, Lily, Lucy, Fritz, Brady and Bella; brother, Larry Crocker; sisters, Evelyn Boykin, Mildred Horton, Diane McDowell, Marcelle Elm, and "Little Sister", Myrtle Clark. In addition to his mother and father, he was predeceased by his step-mother, Virginia Crocker; his first wife, Judith Anne Bray Crocker; son, Harold W. Crocker and brothers, Raymond and George Crocker. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Carlisle Wesleyan Church, 3250 Old Furnace Rd., Chesnee, SC 29323, by the Rev. Mike Stepp. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorials may be made to Carlisle Wesleyan Church Building Fund, PO Box 16025, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. The family is at the home.
