Donald Webster Silvey, 82, of Pauline, SC, died Sunday, December 9, 2018, at his home. Born November 10, 1936, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Rufus Webster Silvey and Nellie Lou Kesler Silvey. A self-employed carpenter, Mr. Silvey was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and served as Sunday School Superintendent and Deacon at various churches. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, T. Elaine McGarity Silvey; children, Ronda S. King of Pauline, SC, Michael Silvey of Spartanburg, SC, and Andy Silvey of Pauline, SC; grandchildren, Donald A. Silvey of Pauline, SC, Jeremy King of Inman, SC, and Blake King of Woodruff, SC; great-grandson, Jaxon Silvey of Indiana; and sisters, Patsy Williams, Sherry Price, and Janice Huntley. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters and brothers, Frances, Betty Brooks, R. C., Edward, Robert, Bobby, Cecil, and Kenny Silvey. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306 with funeral services following at 2:00 PM, conducted by Mr. Paul Smith. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 229, Roebuck, SC 29376. The family is at their respective homes.
