Claude Tutterow

Claude Hunt Tutterow, 85, of Boiling Springs, SC died Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at his home. Born September 16, 1935 in Lenoir City, TN, he was the son of the late Marion Smith Tutterow and Nellie Mae Hunt Tutterow. A U. S. Air Force Veteran, Mr. Tutterow was a Tool & Dye Maker for Firestone Steel and Spartanburg Steel for 45 years. He was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher to college students, Deacon, usher, and on various church committees. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Doris Wilkerson Tutterow; son, Claude Keith Tutterow (Tammy Marlowe) of Chesnee, SC; grandson, Joshua Keith Tutterow (Hayley) of Chesnee, SC; great-grandson, Easton Keith Tutterow; great-granddaughter, Ellie Grace Tutterow; sister, Alma Griffin of Moore, SC, and brother, Joe Tutterrow of Boiling Springs, SC. He was predeceased by brothers, Glenn R. Tutterrow and Frank Tutterow. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 2, 2021, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307 conducted by The Rev. Benny Green. Visitation will be at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Care, 110 Dillon Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307 or Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
