Caleb Fant

Caleb Shammah Fant, 18, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, October 14, 2019, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born October 21, 2000, in Newark, NJ, he was the son of Darlene Fant of the home. Caleb was a Senior at Spartanburg High School and a student athlete on the Men's Varsity Basketball Team. In addition to his mother, survivors include his brothers, Emmanuel Fant of the home and Joshua Fant of New Jersey; god-brother, Marcus Darby of Moore, SC; sisters, Joi Fant of Brooklyn, NY, Chadira Fant and Hope Fant, both of New Jersey; uncles and aunts, Shawn Moses (Alana) of West Orange, NJ, Regina Hunter Warren (Michael) of New York City, NY, and Rose Joyner of Freeport, NY; and many other loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be 12:00-1:45 PM Saturday, October 26, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Spartanburg, 250 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29306, with funeral services following at 2:00 PM, conducted by Minister Hazel Cohen Tucker. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Honorary escort and pallbearers will be members of the Spartanburg High School Men's Varsity Basketball Team.
