Bettie Ballard

Bettie Brooks Ballard, 93, of Greenville, SC died Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Rolling Green Village. Born August 10, 1927 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Raymond L. and Della White Brooks, and the widow of Lonnie Dean Ballard. Bettie received her Bachelor's degree from Winthrop College, and was retired from Spartan Radiocasting. She was a member of Landrum United Methodist Church and Salem United Methodist Church, Moses Wood of United Daughters of Confederacy and the Daniel Morgan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Amy Brooks Wyman, sister, Katherine Brooks Greene, brother, Tommy Brooks, Sr. and cousin, Walter Foster. Survivors include Jim Wyman, Austin Wyman (Brooke), Jasen Wyman, Allison Wyman, Andrea Wyman; Ginger Greene (David) Stone, Megan Stone; Karen Greene Radford, Katlyn Radford, Matthew Radford; Van Greene, Jr. (Sharon), Angela Greene, Brian Greene (Maggie), Isla Greene, Jason Greene (Katie), Justin Greene (Meghan); Tommy Brooks, Jr. (Kelly), Rusty Brooks (Jessica), Levi Brooks, Emma Brooks, Josh Brooks (Anna), Avery Brooks, Lee Brooks (Jana), Heather Winters, and Debra Jones. A graveside service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by Chaplain Mike Thomas.
