Faber Bennett "Benny" Humphries, 66, of Inman, SC, died Sunday, September 30, 2018, at his home. Born July 9, 1952, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Walter F. and Reba Nell Cantrell Humphries and husband of 37 years to the late Jane Corn Humphries. A U. S. Army Reserve and National Guard veteran, Benny was a three-time past-Master and member of Whitney Masonic Lodge #264. He was self-employed as a long haul truck driver for many years and then worked for Laidlaw Environmental Services. He was also a member of Gravely Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include his son, Bennett James "BJ" Humphries (Ashlie) of Boiling Springs, SC; sister-in-law, Claudia Corn Bright (Leslie) of Boiling Springs, SC; nieces, Wendy Annas (Kiernan) and Rebecca Thomas; nephew, Kelly Bernard Thomas (Jeanne); numerous great-nieces and nephews; and loving companion and caregiver, Velvet Arwood. Visitation with Masonic Rites will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday October 4, 2018, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, October 5, 2018, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, by The Rev. Scott S. Gilmer and The Rev. Jack Polin. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
