Ben Jolley

Robert Ben Jolley, Sr., 80, of Lyman, SC, died Thursday, October 10, 2013, at his home. Born July 4, 1933, in Polk County, NC, he was the son of the late Harry Lee and Eudora Bryant Jolley, and husband of the late Peggy O'Neil Chastain Jolley. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Jolley was a member of Wellford Baptist Church and formerly employed as operations manager with Yellow Freight. Surviving are his children, Robert B. Jolley, Jr. (Cynthia) of Chapin, SC, Richard L. Jolley (Kim) of Spartanburg, SC, and Elizabeth J. England of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren, Annie Boiter-Jolley, Bonnie Boiter-Jolley, Lenza Jolley, and Andrew England; sisters and brother, Nell J. Roddy of Cross Hill, SC, Anne J. Clary of Spartanburg, SC, Willis A. Jolley of Hamer, SC, and Louise J. Fann of Spartanburg, SC. Visitation will be 1:30-2:15 PM Sunday, October 13, 2013, at Wellford Baptist Church, 235 Syphrit Rd., Wellford, SC 29385. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM, at the church, conducted by the Dr. Carl Poole. Burial will be in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, 125 Fort Prince Rd., Wellford, SC 29385. Memorials may be made to Wellford Baptist Church Building Fund, 235 Syphrit Road, Wellford, SC 29385. The family is at their respective homes.
