Arthur Rodway

Arthur Harry Rodway, 89, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, March 8, 2018, at his home. Born October 9, 1928, in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late Harry Arthur Rodway and Elsie Petz Rodway. A U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Rodway was a conservationist and enjoyed the woods. He was retired from Gleason Works. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Marilyn Beth Lewis Rodway; children, Roy Rodway and Ray Rodway, both of Upstate, NY, Ronald Rodway of Spartanburg, SC, Susan Manning (John) of Winchester, VA, and Glenn Rodway of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Jessi Rodway, Amy Carswell, and Troy Rodway; and great-granddaughter, Kaidence Sherwood. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Selma and Katherine Rodway. Visitation will be 12:00-12:45 PM Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307 with funeral services, including military rites, following at 1:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Roger Lewis. Burial in Ionia, NY will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Home Hospice, PO Box 430, Drayton, SC 29333. The family is at the home of Marilyn Rodway.
