Margie Garner

Margie Marie Garner, 95, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022. Born January 1, 1927 in Clifton, SC, she was the daughter of the late Dudley J. and Jesse Israel Garrett.

Marie was the last surviving member of her family, except a niece and nephew, and several great nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Jerald Nelson Garner, and her siblings, Walter Garrett and Edith Ford.

The family would like to give a Special Thanks to the caregivers for their love and devotion they showed her for the last six years: Angie Hughes, Martha Kirby, Joan Crosby, and Terri Donahoo.

Visitation will be 12:30 – 1:00 pm Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Wayne Major. Burial will be privately held.
