Wilma Fowler

Wilma Jolly Fowler, 87, of Cowpens, SC, died Thursday, August 31, 2017, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born April 28, 1930, in Gaffney, SC, she was the daughter of the late Collis Kenyon Jolly and Willie Faye Brown Jolly and widow of George Earl Fowler. Mrs. Fowler loved to cook and enjoyed traveling. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cowpens where she served on the Welcoming Committee and was a choir member. Survivors include her children, Trudy Albergotti (Shep) of Maryville, TN, Donna McCray (Ashley) of Chesnee, SC, Deneen F. Hamrick (Pete) of Rutherfordton, NC, and Randy Fowler (Sheila) of Cowpens, SC; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Nona Mae Estes, Carolyn Smith, and Patricia Tate. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 3, 2017, in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery St., Cowpens, SC 29330, by the Rev. Dr. Bill Westafer and the Rev. Ronell Owensby. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cowpens First Baptist Church Family Life Center Kitchen Fund, 108 West Church Street, Cowpens, SC 29330. The family is at the home of Wilma Fowler.
