Valrey Cudd

Valrey Wood Cudd, 93, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 10, 1923 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Joe Hopper and Grace Painter Wood. She was the widow of James William Cudd, Jr. Valrey was happiest caring for her family, so it was not a surprise that she and James were married for 70 years. She was a member of Cedar Spring Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Ronald C. Cudd (Sheril) of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Janice Sanders of Spartanburg, SC; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tamie Bastarache, and a grandson, James Cudd, three brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be 1:00 - 1:45 PM Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM at the chapel conducted by the Rev.
