Valarie Sanders

Valarie Etta Parker Sanders, 86, of Spartanburg, SC, went to her forever home on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Born May 31, 1931, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Junnie Edward Parker and Etta Crocker Parker. Valarie was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and faithful member of Thompson Chapel Baptist Church. She was employed with S&S Manufacturing for more than 25 years and also worked for Stouffers. Survivors include her daughters, Renee Richards (Ed) and Debbie Stepp (Joel); grandson, Zachary Stepp (fiancé, Allison Walker); sister, Mavola Huskey; and brother, Fred Parker, all of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Welton, Beamon, and Junior Parker; and former husband, Ed Sanders. Visitation will be 1:00-2:30 PM Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David Sellars and the Rev. David Frost. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family is at the home of Renee and Ed Richards on Crocker Road.
