Peggy Lorene Hatchette Allen, 79, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born March 1, 1936, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late William Hicks and Lorene Thornton Hatchette and widow of Herbert Carter Allen. She was a member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Wayne Allen of Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Heather Turnage (Brian), Clayton Allen, Devin Allen, and Trey Allen (Taylor); great-grandchildren, Lilli Turnage, Kady Turnage, and Owen Allen; sister, Barbara Brouillette (Lee) of Laurens, SC; and brother, Richard Hatchette of Clinton, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Michael Allen and David Allen. Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, conducted by Rev. Henry Guyton. Memorials may be made to Lake Emory Acute Care Activity Fund, 59 Blackstock Road, Inman, SC 29349. The family is at the home of her son, Wayne Allen, 104 Karen Ct., Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
