Murle Satterfield

Catherine Murle Satterfield, 90, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, November 5, 2017 at her home. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, born December 31, 1926, in Roebuck, SC, a daughter of the late James Lanham Montgomery and Frances Minnie Switzer Montgomery and widow of Harold Carl Satterfield. Mrs. Satterfield and her husband were avid gardeners and travelers. She retired from Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium and was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include her children, Don and Beverly; three grandchildren, Dawn, Darrell, and Jeff; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 2:00-2:20 PM Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Alex Stevenson. Private entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
