Millie Day

Millie Lee Smith Day, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, February 7, 2016, at White Oak Manor-Spartanburg. Born December 5, 1931, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Marvin George Smith and Idaliah Lee Smith and widow of Fred Day. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her children, Susan Joy Jennings of Inman, SC, Donna Ray Greenwalt of Wellford, SC, Sherrie Gay Hammett (Troy) of Chesnee, SC, and son, Bennie Joe Jennings (Kathy) of Moore, SC; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, George Smith of Roebuck, SC; and sisters, Varnette Gibson (Ralph) of Lady Lake, FL, Juanita Bahr (Mike) of Rockford, IL, and Debra of Charleston, SC. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Mathis; and brother, Roger Dale Smith. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 11, 2016, in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, 3119 Hwy 56, Pauline, SC 29374, by the Rev. Keith Davis.
