Jean Kyzer

Jean Meeks Kyzer "Mama Jean", 73, of Myrtle Beach and formerly of Boiling Springs, SC, died Monday, May 28, 2018, at Embrace Hospice House, Myrtle Beach, SC. Born April 8, 1945, in Seneca, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Newton Crenshaw and Cornelia Gibson Crenshaw. Mrs. Kyzer loved Clemson Football, the beach, shagging, and most of all her grandchildren. She attended Anderson College, was a member of Ocean Lakes Family Church and a former member of IPTAY. Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Fred Sanders Kyzer; children, Chris Meeks (Julie) of Inman, SC, Craig Meeks (Alison) of Boiling Springs, SC, Jason Meeks (Angel) of Bishopville, SC, Niki Switzer (Tracy) of Woodruff, SC, and Fred Kyzer II of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Haston Meeks, Mikayla Meeks, Drew Meeks, Ella Meeks, Belle Meeks, and Trey Switzer; brother, James Ovid Crenshaw of Abbeville, SC; sister, Susan McManus (Kent) of Greenwood, SC; nieces and nephew, Katie Beth, Rob, and Claudia Grace. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Thomas Meeks. Visitation will be 1:30-2:15 PM Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with funeral services following at 2:30 PM, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Dan Smyth. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
