Jean Bobo

Jean Anne Amick Bobo, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 24, 1937, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Roy and Ruby Bryson Amick. Mrs. Bobo was a retired Family Court Docket Clerk with the Spartanburg County Clerk of Court's office and a skilled gardener. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she participated in the United Methodist Women and Circle #7. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, The Rev. Kenneth G. Bobo; son, Kevin G. Bobo and his wife, Paige of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Jennifer B. Gilmer and her husband, The Rev. Brian Gilmer of Lyman, SC; grandchildren, Caitlyn Bobo, Austin Bobo and Bryson Gilmer; and sister, Mary Funderburk of Lake Junaluska, NC. Visitation will be 9:30-10:45 AM Friday, November 17, 2017, at Bethel United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, with services following in the sanctuary at 11:00 AM, conducted by The Rev. David E. Nichols and The Rev. Cameron Treece. Burial will be in Nazareth Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 680 Nazareth Church Rd, Moore, SC 29369. Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church Elevator Fund, 245 South Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306; or Cannon's Camp Ground UMC Elevator Fund, 3450 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
