Evelyn Eubanks Wood Ezell, 103, of Greenwood, SC, died Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at NHC Greenwood. Born July 15, 1914, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Butler Eubanks and Lillie Mae Wade Eubanks. She was the widow of Aldon Matthew "Woody" Wood and James Vernon Ezell. A 1933 graduate of Spartanburg High School, Mrs. Ezell was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, the Loyalty Sunday School Class, and Circle #6. She was employed with Reeves Brothers for 18 years then worked with the Spartanburg County Public Library. Survivors include her son, Richard Wood (Rita) of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Sylvia Wood Heironimus of Greenwood, SC; and granddaughters, Jane Wood White of Spartanburg, SC, Ann Heironimus of Greenwood, SC, Susan Wood (Brad) of Greenwood, SC, and Jamie Peterson (Daniel) of Spartanburg, SC; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Visitation will be 11:00-11:45 AM Friday, September 15, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David E. Nichols. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
