Elston Gray

Mr. Elston Gray, formerly of Pacolet, SC, passed away April 25, 2015 at Windsor House. Mr. Gray was born February 19, 1921 in Bartow County, Georgia, and was married to the late Vivian Gossett Gray for over 50 years. He was retired from United States Postal Service in Pacolet and was a Veteran of World War II where he served as stateside Air Force airplane mechanic. He was a member of the Pacolet Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. He was also a past member of the Pacolet Lion's Club and a retired volunteer firefighter in Pacolet. Surviving are two sons, Barry Gray (Debbie) of Moore, S.C., and Sloan Gray (Anna) of Spartanburg, S.C. He is survived by five grandsons, Matt, Andy, Zach, Brandon, and Rex, and five great grandchildren. Visitation will be 2:00 - 2:45 PM Monday, April 27, 2015, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Pacolet Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Donald O'Dell. Memorials may be made to Mobile Meals, P.O. Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
