Donald Locotosh

August 2, 1938 — July 24, 2016

Donald Phillip Locotosh, 77, of Fletcher, NC and formerly of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Regency Hospital-Greenville, SC. Born August 2, 1938, in Painesville, OH, he was the son of Helen A. Demeter Locotosh of Painesville, OH and the late Phillip S. Locotosh. Mr. Locotosh received a Bachelor's Degree from Kent State University, a Master's Degree in Business Manufacturing from Northern Indian University, and retired from Marmon Group-Pan American Screw in Gaffney, SC. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Nativity, Arden, NC, a volunteer with the Tyger River Kairos Prison Ministry Team and served on the SC Kairos Prison Ministry Board of Directors. Mr. Locotosh enjoyed flying, boating, and sport shooting. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Diane Moutrey Patterson of Fletcher, NC; sons, Patrick D. Locotosh (Loretta) of Spartanburg, SC and Christopher J. Locotosh (Amanda) of Greenville, SC; granddaughters, Zoe Autumn Locotosh and Olivia Jeanne Locotosh; sister, Phyllis A. Locotosh of Painesville, OH; and sister-in-law, Sharon Stuart of Lompoc, CA. He was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara Jeanne Daunch Locotosh. A Memorial Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 30, 2016, at the Lutheran Church of the Nativity, 2425 Hendersonville Rd., Arden, NC 28704, by the Rev. Dr. Mark Fitzsimmons. Private burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SC Kairos Prison Ministry, PO Box 473, Aiken, SC 29802.
