Betty Lou Smith, 88, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 20, 1929, in Union, SC, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Lula Sanford Crawford. Betty Lou was a member of Westgate Free Will Baptist Church and worked for Abbott Laboratories, Waccamaw Pottery, J. M. Fields, and Skylyn Place. She enjoyed participating with the Hejaz Shrine Temple Hillbilly Clan. Surviving are her daughters, Belinda "Butter" Wyatt and Tammy Foster (Brent), all of Boiling Springs, SC; 5 grandchildren, Dana, Davina, David, Charlianne, and Hunter; 9 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, with funeral services following at 2:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Kevin Smith. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Boiling Springs Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316. The family is at the home of Tammy & Brent Foster.
