Established in 1980 and operated as a separate facility, Piedmont Crematory is owned by the Floyds and is centrally located in the Fort Prince community of Spartanburg. It is managed by Robin Caldwell, who received S.C. State certification as a Crematory Operator in 1994.

In 2010, a new human retort was purchased and the original retort was rebuilt and licensed for pets.  This business will operated by Robin Caldwell as well,  under the name of Floyd's Pet Passages.

Both facilities will be operated according to the same high standards as are expected at The J.F. Floyd Mortuary - "Taking care of all your loved ones".
